STUDENT LIFE
"Growing Up at SVRD — Bold, Joyful, and Ready for the World."
Ask any SVRD student what they love most about school, and you will hear a hundred different answers the robotics workshop, the music practice room, the annual Science Techno Fest, the high jump practice session, the Readers Club, the class debates, or simply the warmth of their favourite Mentor. That diversity of experience is exactly what makes SVRD special.
Learning by Doing
Student life at SVRD is active and hands-on. Whether building a robot in the Atal Tinkering Lab, designing a 3D model, performing in the annual cultural programme, planting a sapling as part of the Go Green Club, or debating a current issue in a group discussion SVRD students are always doing, always creating, always growing.
Communication & Confidence
We place great emphasis on communication skills because great communication is about far more than spelling and grammar. At SVRD, students are regularly given opportunities for public speaking, group discussions, storytelling, and debate. Learning a second language alongside their mother tongue strengthens their first language skills too. Graduates of SVRD are known for their confidence, articulateness, and ability to present themselves well in any setting.
Physical Well-being
SVRD students are active and healthy. Our spacious grounds host a variety of sports from athletics to team games and physical education is a valued part of every week. We have produced division-level champions and encourage every student to find the sport they love. Yoga is also part of the curriculum, building inner strength and mental calm alongside physical fitness.
Values in Action
Beyond academics and activities, student life at SVRD is shaped by values respect for self and others, responsibility for one's actions, love for one's country and culture, and a spirit of service to the community. These values are woven into every interaction, every assembly, every club meeting, and every classroom moment.
Ready for Tomorrow
When students leave SVRD whether after Class 10 or Class 12 they carry with them far more than a certificate. They carry confidence, curiosity, resilience, and a deep sense of who they are and what they stand for. That is the SVRD promise: to send every student into the world ready, capable, and full of purpose.
"Because Life is Learnt Beyond the Classroom."
At SVRD, we firmly believe that a child's development cannot be confined to textbooks alone. CAMPUS LIFE AT SVRD
"Every Day at SVRD is an Adventure in Learning."
Campus life at Swami Vivekanand Rashtriya Dnyanpeeth is vibrant, purposeful, and full of energy. From the moment students arrive each morning for the General Assembly a cherished daily tradition of prayer, reflection, and important announcements to the moment they head home with their homework diaries signed, every hour at SVRD is designed to inspire.
A Day at SVRD
The school day begins with the General Assembly, where students gather for prayer and announcements setting a tone of discipline, gratitude, and community. Classes through the day are lively and interactive, with teachers acting not just as instructors but as mentors and facilitators. Digital boards, group activities, and project-based tasks make every lesson engaging.
Break times see students playing on the spacious grounds, gathering in clubs, or visiting the library. Wednesday and Saturday bring the added excitement of House Dress when students proudly wear their house colours and the campus buzzes with friendly competition and house spirit.
Celebrations & Cultural Events
SVRD is a school that celebrates. Indian festivals, national days, cultural events, and the annual Science Techno Fest are all celebrated with great enthusiasm within the school campus. These events are not just fun they are carefully planned learning experiences that reinforce values of unity, cultural pride, creativity, and community spirit.
The House System
Students at SVRD are divided into Houses, each representing distinct values and colours. The House system fosters a sense of belonging, healthy competition, and teamwork as students work together to earn points for their house through academics, sports, and co-curricular participation.
Student Voice
At SVRD, children's voices are always heard. Rights, respect, and dignity are non-negotiable values at our school. Students are encouraged to express their opinions, participate in discussions, and take ownership of their learning journey. School rules are fair, transparent, and clearly understood by every student.
Mentors, Not Just Teachers
At SVRD, we call our teachers Mentors because that is exactly what they are. They teach not just with their minds but with their hearts, creating classrooms full of warmth, encouragement, and joy. Mentors are accessible to both students and parents for one-on-one consultations, and they go well beyond the syllabus to guide students in life choices, aspirations, and character development.
